ok so which is the best one to use?

and guys im new to this whole downloading scene so please dont shoot me down... just remember we all started somewhere:o
 
torrents if you are willing to share(upload and have a good ratio) if not you will eventually be banned or account deleted
 
Me I prefer NZB's, I find them faster than torrents and you don't end up wasting CAP on uploading to other people.
 
NZB's (Usenet) the first half of the month, Torrents the second half of the month! :p

FTP all month! ;)
 
nzb's from local news servers. If it's cached you can download 700MB+ in 1 hour or less with a 4MB line. Torrents, takes a while and bandwidth is expensive.. Rapidshare? Don't know about that but people seems to be into it.
 
Nah no ways in life that nzb on IS will ever be faster than torrents! BitFarm is the best torrent site ever! Its like full of 4mb/s users thats share! We are a great community and we don't allow open signups for 1 reason! You get people that download like 80GB in 1 month and upload 2GB. So invite only! If you managed to get a invite you will enjoy it! DON'T LEECH!
 
The IS news server fails horribly, but the SAIX one is better than local torrents.

If you have uncapped international (like me :) ) then there's that. But on shaped SAIX, I'd rather use the news server if I can...

Grabit does not handle SSL very well at all... mine crashes alot!
Have to reload the program a few times before it works... very irratating.
I've contacted Grabit and they know about the problem, when they plan to fix it is another story!
 
the wasteful nature of torrents (huge overhead and an included .nfo of 10kB ending up to be 4mB because of block size) tuned me off from them. i feel you should only consider them when downloading obscure stuff you can't find a .nzb for, or you're really into maintaining a healthy ratio

Gary didn't you find grabit freezing and all that? I pay for newsleecher now and it is far better now that they makes folders the same name as nzb.

The latest grabit was just freezing and it took me like 20 minutes sometimes to get a nzb going haha.

Nzb's kick torrent ass i reckon.
