I think it would be comparable to what would happen here if it were to ever get to that point.
Don't stress, you will get the voice note starting like, "More almal.."Don't you have friends and family? News will spread like wildfire via whatapps when everyone doesn't have power. You'd know within 15mins.
This gave me a chuckle. Oh how often my parents still believe those and forward it.Don't stress, you will get the voice note starting like, "More almal.."
I'm the unofficial scam/prank/lie detector, trying to shield the oldies in the family from emotional or financial ruin..This gave me a chuckle. Oh how often my parents still believe those and forward it.
Time line expectation for the grid collapse? Thanks Captain obvious.
I'm looking for a accurate time line expectation from a reliable source.
Yeah, there will be fokkal warning. Just like when you have a fault, one second it’s working, then the lights flicker and then they go off.Time line expectation for the grid collapse?
Let me throw the bones fast fast.
I am back, it's going to happen at Midnight just before the elections in 2024.Time line expectation for the grid collapse?

This is the problem, we are on our own. Our minimum load is 20 000MW.How much power would we need to Jumpstart ours, Eskom had to send 347MW to Botswana, and who is going to give us?
What does the minimum load entail? This is the problem, we are on our own. Our minimum load is 20 000MW.
Keeping the grid @ 50hz.What does the minimum load entail?
Then someone must be on their toes in keeping Mr System operator's coffee coming, that man must always be wakker at all times.Keeping the grid @ 50hz.
I don't know as far as i have it the problem is having load come up as production comes up![]()
Why It's So Hard to Restart Venezuela's Power Grid
As it approaches a full week, Venezuela's national power outage shows just how hard it is to restart a grid from scratch.www.wired.com
They only use about 6GW and have 1 hydro power station powering 80% of the country . Our case would be 10 times harder imho.
I don't know as far as i have it the problem is having load come up as production comes up
Kinda hard to do with one major source
ie all or nothing ,unless you have a big battery to absorb and then the switch over is balancing the load coming on and push to battery
All these battery backup systems would actually help in a grid restart scenario imo
ie you don't have to worry if you are gonna have wnough load to absorb the unit you just bring online
If the transformers will be fine after getting that cold and moisture ingress is another thing
Yea living next to the coast is gonna e hectic in a total grid failure

Yea blond thought
What if I told you that my reliable source said it's tomorrow at 12:32?Thanks Captain obvious.
