Is there any difference between the tp deco s4 and m4? Is the e4 just as good?

I see there is a price difference between the three but don't see much spec difference between s4 and m4

The E4 is just as good as the M4 but it's always a nice idea to future-proof yourself with gigabit ethernet (for like say, local server tasks) unless you're absolutely certain you won't ever use something like that and / or won't obtain >100mb internet anytime soon.

If I remember, the S4 is smaller and features CE transmit power for variable range, but otherwise is also identical to the M4.

I think real differences begin with the M5 and X series stuff with updated WiFi specs and more features software-wise. I can't account for the vastly different pricing between these three but I'd wager going for the M4 unless you most certainly can't for now (I have 3 M4's to vouch for personally and they're really great, even if I may be a bit off from proper fibre hehe).

The S4 is an updated M4. The S4 units are smaller but otherwise basically identical.

Both have gigabit ports and that’s the difference between them and the E4 which has 100mbps ports.

The decision comes down to your line speed.

Anything under a 100meg line and the E4s will be just fine.

Anything faster than a 100meg line… or, if you’re a future proofing kinda person, go for the M or S.
