I'm not sure how to read this ... but ever since they started the fibre install in my complex, it's been like this. I'm on a 20mbps VDSL and always get a real world speed of 19mbps - so almost max speed for as long as I've had this. I've always raved about performance !

But recently, at times, it'd horrible going at around 1mbps with 100pings (while synccing at 20mbps still). The next night, syncs at 22mbps and I get a real world 20mbps ... then the next night .5mbps etc etc

Looks like copper issues to me. Or the msan or whatever it is that vdsl connects to is fooked.

Thanks.

I ruled congestion because of the sheer speed it happens - wasn't a degradation. In fact, this morning I'm at 31ms and 19.71mpbs. Also, line stats are identical as they were last night - so I'm sure of copper issue.

Odd.

Odd.

Any chance this happened around 18:00 last night?

May have started at that time, yup - I only saw it at 20:00.

Something happen?

Right on the time - but not the issue because it was too quick ie from 19mbps > 1mbps in a night.

And tonight I'm back to 19mbps
