won't run on a compaq presario 2700

get to the main screen with create account, and you can't go further :( mouse and keyboard inputs doesn't work.

downloading updated video drivers, gotta see if that will help :(
 
Is there any like secret to this game?

Cause I notice that at the start of races, cars pull away faster.
I just accelerate and ya... I mean, nothing I'm missing right?

Are the cars equal or what?

I get this, it's just, some of the times are like major... like; eg: I'll do a race in 1:00:00 and the leader does it in 40:00 but I know I did it as best as i possibly could... sometimes I just wonder... maybe he has a faster car or something.

I'm not that clued up on this game, so I'm just wondering.
 
Those okes just know the tracks inside/upside-down/etc, I suck at new tracks until I've raced them a few times. You eventually get to know just when to take corners and at what speed to avoid slides. And the more you race the better you know your car, and the quicker you learn the tracks.

Aye. You know soon enough how to enter a certain bend in a certain way to give you a speed boost or to avoid an obstacle after said bend...

twiddling the keys also helps ;)

And knowing when to slow down, I very quickly learned that flat out isn't necessarily faster. Especially in TM:United. :)

True - there are certain sections where you have to reduce your speed or else you'll tortoise or do some impromptu stunts :D

Cars are equal. Just a bit of lag you see. I prefer racing without any other cars visible (Press "O")

I've started doing this too. Also, if you like to see the other cars, but find the name tags annoying you can turn those off using the tilde/backquote key. (I found this to be case before Forever, now they're not so bad)
