Just want to know besides BT Games, are there any other stores that take trade ins? I traded in 4 games on Saturday 2 x PS3 games and 2 PS2 games.

1. FIFA09 = R140 .....meh okay
2. Unreal T3 = R75 ....... WTF! really now? not even a R100!
3. Astroboy = R50 ...... WTF! and for just R25 more you guys took a PS3 game, I never even heard of astroboy!
4. some random PS2 game = R50 ........again WTF!

The 2 PS2 games were given to me, they were crap! I didnt even play them and got R50 for each of them! yet PS3 games that were farely good titles I got next to nothing for them! My friend in UK traded in his FIFA09 and got R250 for it!

In Cape Town, there is a place in Cavendish where you can trade games in, I can't remember the name now... maybe someone else can remember it.

It's in Stadium on Main, past Cafe JAVA.

In JHB there are 3 places ATM. BT Games, GameXchange & Zaps. Don't know if there are smaller places around though, but these are the bigger guys.

Well if you guys are looking to unload games, let me know. If still in good condition, I'll give you a better price

what games are you looking for? or are you buying everything for a second hand game shop/service?

will you accept deals from Western Cape?

Yeah, x-dvds and games.
I get all my games there.
I like the fact that some trades are free.If you have an old but rare pc game
you can easily trade it for the something newer.

I'm not looking for anything in particular; but I like collecting things, and that includes games. Obviously the offers will be market-related. I also have a lot of friends who are always looking to add to their collections. And second-hand (if in good condition) just makes sense.

Look around www.ps3za.co.za. Buying private is great via that website and buyers and sellers get ratings so at least it will be easier to tell which buyers or sellers with good reps.

for me if you wanna swap games theres only one place, xdvd and games. On xbox i've traded over a 100 games, games i would have never even played if it wasn't for the trade system. Say you have a newish game, and wanna trade it for a R400 game you pay R50. Called a selective trade, depending on what you have and so it carrys on, down to R250 where you can trade anygame and pay R50, then theres also R150 games and free swops. I've bought 3 full price games, plus 4 that came with console, all my games have been traded there. Not to mention the anime, dvds, pc wii, ps3, nintendo ps2 ps1, the list goes on. Check it out.

only gripe with selling pvt is postage, its like half the price of the game
yeah that can be rough, but if there is a choice i will always opt for the cheap, slow postage, which takes between 3-5 days. thats about R20 which is less than petrol to and from shops (give or take :P )

i have learnt great patience with game trading

True. Since 2nd hand games are cheap, I buy a few so that the postage & insurance charges are lower compared to buying just one cheap game. What I have also witnessed is that PS3 owners seem to take great care in their games because I get them in pretty good condition.

My games looked untouched, I should be less carefull from now on, lol

gameXchange AFAIK there deals are pretty sweet. BT is a ripoff...

I got some prices form them yesterday and their prices are FAR from sweet...They want R360 for a 2nd hand copy of Left for Dead? I mean I can buy it brand new for that price. :(

ITO 2nd hand copies, I prefer Zaps. But gamexchange give much better trade in values than Zaps which means higher priced 2nd hand copies.
