Traffic in CPT! Wtf?

Millennial = 1981 - 1996. So he's not a mellenial either.
The jury is out on that because I read a magazine this weekend while waiting for a haircut where the person was labeled a milennial and she fell in the same age bracket as the lot in this office and the OP

30% population increase in the last 10yrs apparently, Capetown is screwed. Only way forward is to work from home, I'd hate to commute any significant distance in CT, the drudgery.

If you are up for it and company allows, work 6am to 3pm.. I see no traffic in the morning and none in the afternoon unless there is an accident..

It is 9:38.

I am sitting in traffic on the N1 & will probably be late for an appointment.

How the **** is there traffic at this time?

Aren't most people at work?
It is normal.

Most people try to travel outside peak traffic times so the peak has shifted to after 9 now...

that is why i have been biking 10yrs now Somerset West --> Paarden Eiland everyday, i refuse to climb into a car, worst scenario for me is there are 4 accidents on a rainy morning and i arrive at work 8:05am. It happened once.

So an hour late then..

Always found it fascinating when working for companies which had a base in Cpt, that the crew there would show up and only start working at about 10am, have an hour lunch, play table tennis, and then leave by 3h30pm. Ad then their salaries were higher and the work produced was less/always way over budget vs Jhb office.
