Traffic in CPT! Wtf?

Too many people drive cars, there should be more bicycles, scooters and motorbikes.

(Now tell me how so many people need a car, because of "safetey"? Not buying it).

Yeah I do the same.

Then get on the bike.

It’s not worth the waste of time to do it all in one vehicle.

That being said I don’t use a car, I just walk them.
I would own a bike if I could but, alas the wife, she says no..

that is why i have been biking 10yrs now Somerset West --> Paarden Eiland everyday, i refuse to climb into a car, worst scenario for me is there are 4 accidents on a rainy morning and i arrive at work 8:05am. It happened once.
Damn dude that is far on a bike.

Cape Town drivers are the worst.

I would be too scared that somebody will moer me whilst riding my bike.

Do bikes even get Ncap ratings?

The jury is out on that because I read a magazine this weekend while waiting for a haircut where the person was labeled a milennial and she fell in the same age bracket as the lot in this office and the OP
Are you the Oom at work?

30% population increase in the last 10yrs apparently, Capetown is screwed. Only way forward is to work from home, I'd hate to commute any significant distance in CT, the drudgery.

Companies is slowly moving (north) to places like Durbanville and Stellenbosch.

Always found it fascinating when working for companies which had a base in Cpt, that the crew there would show up and only start working at about 10am, have an hour lunch, play table tennis, and then leave by 3h30pm. Ad then their salaries were higher and the work produced was less/always way over budget vs Jhb office.

Opposite experience for me.
