Traffic in Fourways

Hahaha. I took a 37km detour to avoid the 5km hell-hole of Fourways. Only 4 more months of this traffic nightmare: You guys honestly don't believe that this will only take 2-3 weeks? I have been watching the construction crew on Cedar tuckering away for 4 weeks and they have made zero progress (same with the guys putting down sewage pipes on Uranium).
You Cedar guys making your problems ours. What a miserable ride I had this afternoon :(

Yea Fourways is a mess, took me twice as long to get to work this morning.

Would you consider using an on demand scooter to avoid the traffic altogether? Jump on and a driver gets you to your destination whilst others are stuck bumper to bumper.

Would any of you consider using an on demand scooter to avoid the traffic altogether? Jump on and a driver gets you to your destination whilst others are stuck bumper to bumper.

No. I ride a motorbike, why would I hop on someone else's scooter? That's cheating.

But it might be an idea for car drivers, I know it's a common occurrence in some asian countries.

How old/hot is your sister riding that scooter?

Didn't know you ride a motorbike:) absolutely, geared more for card drivers who are sick of traffic.

Nah.... got my own bike for that

I've been going and living in Fourways before living in Fourways was "cool", around the Craigavon and Dainfern area since around the year 2000 when I was 10, and I cannot believe all these infrastructural upgrades are only happening in the last 5years, it began with the William Nicol side way back in around 2012.

I lived here and went to school in Douglasdale and traffic was never really a huge issue until more recent times

I still live here but work in Bryanston East, and my word what a mess it has been.

Going to work takes around 45mins sometimes same with coming back. Shouldn't take that long for such a short route.

You okes with your Ford Rangers and Jeep Wranglers need to go back to The 'Vale and Benoni, we've had enough

Just moved to lonehill. My office is 7 minutes away normally. But can take 90 minutes in peak times. Main road and witkoppen intersection is something else

Getting to the Life Hospital in Fourways is quite a problem, it should be renamed to the Death Hospital in Fourways.

I'm not sure if the OUTsurance people or the Ry/Go construction workers are making the traffic problem worse.

We were looking at properties in that area, Craigavon and Broadacres area. Just 1 trip at 3pm on one of the weekdays put us off that whole area. Turning right from witkoppen into Cedar road was an impossible task, and would have been a daily one for both of us
