South African Christmas shopping chaos

South African retailers are having a hard time stocking their shelves in preparation for festive season shopping due to significant delays at South Africa's ports.

This is according to Mike Walwyn, director for maritime affairs at the South African Association of Freight Forwarders, who said the delays are bound to impact Christmas shopping in the country.

So i know we've all seen an increase in the number of trucks on our roads over the last few years but for me it seems to have exploded quite a bit more in the last 6 months.

Was in NRB the previous Sunday. I have nfi how they're living with those trucks

Place is also way schittier than the last visit a few years back

N4 to KNP is a royal F-up now. Driving to Durban is very stressful now as well. Im heading to Sodwana in a few weeks and am dreading that Pongola road because of these killing machines driven by reckless morons. Entire railway system is dead and nothing happens to anyone except us. Pay with our lives.

The N1 between CPT and Joburg is also a sh!tshow. The amount of trucks is absolutely stupid. Seeing convoys of trucks in front of you is absolutely soul-draining.

Yeah. Then you get stuck behind one in the mist and you cant do anything. Imagine we were able to travel the country by train. Alas. Anything this government touches gets destroyed. And destroyed beyond repair.

Auto trains will become a staple of the South African countryside when I assume control of South Africa.
