Transparent Proxy Issues

Yeah, when are we getting feedback around this as I haven't been able to download from any file sharing sites since I joing Cr@p-Burst 2 years ago!

Not only that. But if I try to download from sites like rapidshare or netload or megaupload, I get similar IP errors ("Your IP is current downloading") even though I haven't downloaded a single file from them. I'm guessing when we browse, we go through some kind of proxy which kind of sux. :(

That is due to the proxy server that iBurst uses. At work I am forced to use a similar proxy and we have the same problem here amongst the staff with workstations

i'm still being told i'm downloading from several sites. haven't been able to DL from a few sites for a good few weeks now. as soon as my "hourly limit" refreshes or the "file i've been downloading finishes" i go through the motions of downloading a new file but someone always beats me to it.

Any chance this IP thing will be sorted sometime soon?

The situation is totally unchanged. This is becoming immensely frustrating. Can we get some feedback as to when iBurst plans to finally resolve this?

When Bubbles evolves to something more userful and reaches the correct level of intelligence to understand how to fix the problem. Give it another 300-400 thousands of years of evolution.

Not trying to be funny here Ronald, but you guys have been 'working' on this since Dec 2010... Resolution ETA was 10-16 Jan 2011.

Where's the supposed feedback and updates we were promised?

Although I applaud your efforts in getting many issues resolved, this is turning out to be a nightmare for me as a customer.
Can iBurst fix this or not?

Time to take the boxing gloves out the cupboard again perhaps where iBurst is concerned...
I'm immensely frustrated by the failure of iBurst to resolve this in addition to the lack of feedback.
Having checked a number of threads here it seems that responses are given very selectively while others are just plain ignored.

Here we go again this evening... Same issue.
A large part of the reason I got the 128kbps VAS offering was so that I could do large downloads (and the majority of them are from file sharing sites) and now it tuns out that hardly ever works due to the 'IP transparency issue'

Get your house in order and fix this iBurst as promised to us please (16 Jan was the ETA to have this resolved)
Some regular feedback would be great as well...

Eish! And I thought was was answering everything! Sometimes even I have to take a break from MyBB and do my real job.

We are working on it and since the network cannot be broken it has to happen in a scheduled fashion.

If you have a specific problem, give me the url and I can see if I can implement a workaround.

Hi Ronald,

Thanks for the feedback. Please don't take this personally as it's not aimed at you, but rather at iBurst as a company.

The url's and the issues involved have basically all been given by myself and many others earlier in this thread.
It basically affects the free versions of almost all file sharing sites that don't allow multiple downloads from the same I.P. address (filesonic.com, fileserve.com, hotfile.com, rapidshare.com etc. etc.).

Since 'the network cannot be broken it has to happen in a scheduled fashion', would you mind informing us what that schedule is exactly?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the last concrete 'scheduled date' we received to resolve this was 16 January 2011'...

I can confirm that the problem is being addressed.

Patience young Padowan.

I have no reason to question your statement.

I and others have displayed months of patience. The 'problem' was 'being addressed' since December 2010 already though. (No clear answer on this yet, despite what many would consider a more than reasonable period of 'patience already)

Can you offer us any insights as to when the problem is expected to be fully resolved however?

*sucks thumb* IP issue is expected (by me) to be resolved by September 2011. If it occurs earlier, bonus. If not, then idgf anymore. Give yourself an expected date for it (add 6 months to initial date) and expect that as the official date. I've been waiting for 4 hours to DL one 0.5mb file from hotfile gotta love it.
