Travelling without partner

All I've gotten out of this thread is:

1) OP is getting ripped off with that price.
2) Pitbull and Voicy are living in an American Pie movie.

Thanks all. This will be my final post and will ask Mod to close thread. The thread has run its course and I have received valuable feedback (even from the Dr Phil's who have identified my so called commitment issues haha)

Right from the start I'm sure you can see that I was hesitant with this trip, sure it would have been a massive jol but I know she wants to go badly to and if I go without her it would be quite a d1ck move. As you can see there is more to the story though than just a "leave the poor GF at home while I travel the world" She could have easily gone if she really tried as this was a planned trip and money shouldn't have been a problem. This just feels unfair but I guess that is what relationships are about. Give some, take some. What further pushed me was that I am reaching the age where I need to "start settling down" so soon trips like these will not be an option.

Communication is key here and I'm happy to say we finally had a decent conversation about it last night (prior to last night she tried to change the subject at every opportunity) so I am optimistic we will work it out. Even if I don't go there is plenty of other exciting things to look forward to plus I would have saved some money. I am more than happy to help her sort out her financial affairs (if she is willing) but that is a topic for another day. I probably will not consult MyBB Dr Phil's about that one.:)

To those of you who think travelling alone if you have a partner is sin - I pity you. I think it is a true test of a relationship and afterwards you come out even stronger plus you have no regrets one day. Millions of people do it (even a few in this thread) If your partner cheats on you then it was going to happen anyway. Whether its a 1 week business trip to Cape Town or 3 weeks in Europe the outcome is the same.
