trixbox flash/hash not working?

I have just completed installing a trixbox pbx for my Father in law.
It is identical to my (perfectly working) trixbox, except that I have am extra 4 port card in mine.

The weird thing is: The flash and hash (pound) keys on the phones don't work!
If I press hash twice, it lets me transfer using the managed transfer function, but then you cant talk to the person first before you transfer the call to them.

I have made sure that it has tT in both the incoming and outgoing sections in the FreePBX general settings section.

Yes they're all analogues. I'm using the yeastar tdm800.

I have set up a sip phone, but I'm using X-lite and since you can't transfer with that anyway, there's no way to test that.

Switch on dtmf debugging in your /etc/asterisk/logger.conf. Do a full * reload for it to take affect. You should see the dtmf being echo'd to the asterisk CLI as you press the key.

If you dont see dtmf or if its intermitten some analogue phones have a hook flash switch at the back of the device. if not you will have to "play" with the hook flash timing in one of the .conf. I think its normally 300ms. I cant remember off hand and dont have a * box to check right now which conf.
