Im trying to make money, so...

Im farming my arse off :wtf:

Im a lvl 73 ret pally, about 380 mining skill. I fly around Outlands (with my epic mount) and just mine and mine and mine...

Is this the best way to make money with my character

I was told to start Alchemy to make money?

Have a look at this website on the left hand side he gives tips on how to both level a new profession and how to make coin from them. It is all free which is the best part.

Hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.

depends on the server on stormscale flasks is 10g each lol on lightbringer its 30g (made a killing there) ,but in general jc is imba, everyone need gems.

if the server flasks prices is high you can herb and sell flasks

Flasks and fish feasts can make a killing if you time it right. I put a bunch on they day that 3.3.5 was released and everybody went to try RS. Wednesdays seems like a good time to auction consumables.

Edit: Thouht I posted it already, but looks like I was wrong

Alchemy and mining isn't a good combo, since there isn't anything useful you get from mining directly to use in alchemy. For the purpose of making money, I would say that jewelcrafting would be a good choice, with blacksmithing at second. Alchemy is good with herbalism to get the mats, and some people put alchemy and jc together to transmute and then cut gems.

The easiest way to make money would be to get to 80 and then complete quests, both normal and dailies. At 80 they reward gold, and a level 80 quest gives around 13G.

Fish feasts are also a good money maker, since they are used for raids. All of the mats can be fished from WG without moving around, but you'll need high fishing (350+) and 450 cooking (i think) to get it.

You can also use two gathering professions. Since you have mining, the best option would be skinning, then you don't have to switch tracking the whole time. Unless you hate killings mobs to farm them (like I do). I would focus more on Northrend mats though, because more people will need it. Lower level ore/etc might fetch a higher price on the AH, but it's a smaller market for them.

Level an army of alchemists, level one jewelcrafter.. Transmute epic gems each day and profit $$. Currently working on my 5th alchemist. Of course there are other ways to generate gold. At the moment I'm on 90k in liquid. I loan gold to guildies though, bought a chopper for all my 80's etc. If it wasn't for that, I'd be gold capped on 2 toons. Heh.

lol

I found selling Primodial Saronite makes nice monies :D Things are slowing down now, the closer we get to expansion. Used to be able to sell them for 1.2k gold, but they are worth 700g on my server :p

PS. I obviously don't need to Emblems, so I buy the Saronite instead :D

Ive bought off them for a friend last year, and he got the email with the code within minutes of paying for it

Get to lvl 80 first. The dailies are easy money and they can fund purchases of gems etc that can be transmuted to epic gems.

I have made a killing in WoTLK with Alchemy (Flask master)

That was before the Frost lotus nerf and the Frozen orb patch. a Stack of Endless rage used to sell for 500 - 600 gold. Then came the Primodial saronite which you could buy with Frost badges. At that stage one sold for 2.3k on my server. I made a killing there too :D

Now I'm leveling a Warrior Gnome and took engineering on him and that is eating away at my gold stack pretty quickly. I would say that Alchemy is easy money if the pots on your server fetches a nice price. If not just take Herbalism+Mining.
