So considering all the drama yesterday in PE, I thought it would be worthwhile to have a separate Tshwane thread to keep a record of the shenanigans the ANC might get up to :D.

The meeting is set for 12PM today.

Start with some Humble pie I guess..

Pretoria - The ANC leadership in Tshwane has described the loss of the city during the municipal elections as the lowest point of its political life.

"It constitutes the lowest moment in our political life. When we took office as this collective leadership the ANC was in power and this collective leadership presided over an ANC that lost power in the capital city," chairperson Kgosientso Ramokgopa told reporters in Pretoria.

12pm ? At least there is 2 hours more for the Anc to arrive :D

I predict a similar strategy to what they tried in PE.

1. Bogus court interdict

2. Not enter the chamber to see if they can prevent a quorum being formed.

3. Once (2) has failed they will enter the chambers late, disrupting current proceedings.

4. Attempt to disrupt the proceedings by raises frivolous points of order and objections.

5. Once (4) has failed, the elections will proceed.

6. ANC and their partners walk out.

7. Council proceeds with the items on the agenda.

...followed with a good portion of sour grapes....

Ramokgopa sees tough times ahead for DA-led alliance in Tshwane

"We are not in government, so when there is a service delivery protest in Atteridgeville I can't go and address it, the mayor must go. If there is a strike by Samwu, I can't address it. If there is a land invasion, the mayor must go. We will be waiting to listen to the mayor. When there is an imbizo, we will be there as members of the community and the mayor will tell us how they will provide services," he said.

Apart from having to deal with crowds in ANC strongholds, the mayor would have to endure working with ANC councillors in those areas and have them introducing him to the crowd, he added.

Behaving like a bunch of kids.

Its the same with campus politicis. EFF and SASCO do similar things at SRC meetings etc.

How was the Mogale City stunner yesterday?

The ANC was flabbergasted. I laughed so hard I nearly pee'd my pants.

What the hell is Ramokgopa going on about? Its not like he managed to control the strikes before the elections. "If there is a strike by Samwu, I can't address it... " Its like being fired from your job and then having a fit saying im not going to work there anymore.

He is basically saying anc supporters will be instigated into a strike or 3 to destabilize the da led municipality.
