TT Connect issues and representation

It's gotten to the point where my internet is down multiple hours per day now.

100% chance I'm moving to a different provider the second it becomes available

To the people having issues with TT Connect and also those who are happy with their TT Connect fibre lines, can you please let us know who your ISP is for your TT Connect fibre line to get a better idea if problems could be across the network itself or isolated to certain ISP's?

It would help give me a better idea as TT Connect recently became live in my area and trying to determine if their fibre is a good option to go with. Still on ADSL and currently have a choice of either TT Connect or Vodacom fibre where I live.
Currently getting lots of calls from TT Connect about when they can come and install the fibre line from the street to the house despite not having yet selected an ISP to seriously begin the process.

Thanks for the reply Nephew. When you say not 100% happy, what issues with TT Connect are causing you to not be fully satisfied?

If there was only some official communication or notice from TT Connect whenever they want to bring the connection down, it would at least make me understand... not happy, just understand. Now it's a guessing game.
msquared - I see Cool Ideas has network status updates for various areas when the different last mile providers undergo maintenance or have issues in an area so that might be a good place to check if there are problems with your service to get an idea if something is going on in your area.

Ok, sorry, I was mixing my satisfaction thinking between fibre and ISP.
I am happy enough with TT-Connect to stay with them, only small issues so far.
With Axxess, there is not much issues, but their ticketing system can do better as well as their responses. Maybe I know too much about networking. While I provide them with pings, traceroutes, arpings and tcpdumps, they want to advise me to reboot my router, wtf?

Am with TTconnect in Edengle,

Line has been out multiple hours a day every day this week.

Usually it just cuts out for a few minutes at a time ( TTconnect normal behaviour ) since day 1.

Anybody else experiencing this?

I'm in Edenglen, but (nervously looking around) I've not been too bad recently, although I've had a few over night outages in the past few weeks.

I'm with Fredd (the TT Connect ISP). When the line works, it's great. Generally the issue I have is there is no internet connection on the active Fibre, although last week, the actual Fibre was down (no WAN light).

The install is not quick, takes over a week with all the steps.

I am using TT Connect and AfriHost (10/10), so my experience is very mixed in that during the day I have internet access (podcasts, emails, remote desktop to work) but during the evening there are times I can't stream a 360p video or browse.

The worst part is that TT Connect does not seem to have anybody monitoring their network after hours, on weekends or public holidays. I am not too sure if the problem is AfriHost either. We get no explanation as to why the connectivity goes down apart from occasional texts from Afrihost about TT Connect doing maintenance in the area.

I am considering doing a 24 month uncapped LTE plan with Telkom until everybody gets their act together.
