TV

Dudes, I bought the 50" Samsung plasma on Sunday. Madness for Xbox!!! Seriously, amazing, and no-one could tell the difference between it and their FHD Sony LCD's.

I haven't hooked up my PC to it yet, but for normal SD TV, DVD's and Xbox (mainly COD:BlackOps) it rocks. Super stoked so far!

pretty much what we've been saying the whole time! :)

dont expect much when you hook it up to your PC hey. the res is only 1024x768 which is not ideal.

Nope, the 50" is 1366x768

Schweet!

There you go, Pooky.

(And Lupus... ... ...)

:D

I had some cocky comment ... but in the interests of festive season, I'll refrain ;)

What you pay for it?

You'll see the difference when watching 1080p movies.

Strange. You must either be Superman or like Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys considering our local TV fundi TYR regularly states he can't tell a difference between 720p and 1080p at viewing distance, not to mention dosens/hundreds/thousands of guides on the Internet that state the same thing.

For the record, IMO, your claiming 1366x768 is too low is laughable! Yeah, DSTV HD/SS HD must look cr@p on a 50" HD screen...

:D

I think you'll be disappointed when using with your PC being 50" 1360x768.

Must admit, I was very weary of it myself. But I can't tell.

Don't worry about it - he's been sold on the FHD hype. :D

Basically exactly like TYR's example of telling his friend about his HD Ready screen, and his friend shooting it down because it's not FHD.
