Twisp - Electronic cigs

What do the cartridges in the pic cost ?

Does anyone think that refilling the cartridges is the same as a new cartridge or am I doing something wrong...

Nope refilling the cartridges is horrible i found.

I just walked around with my 10ml bottle and dropped the liquid on the atomiser, the cartridges for me sucked even when new and always leaked onto my lips, i found by using the liquid on the atomiser was far better and created more smoke :).

the mini tends to leak, the dura-c doesn't.
I always refill the cartridges before they dry out - works much better that way and prolongs the life of the wick.

The e-cig in the picture is from electroniccigarettestore.co.za, I did some research based on the model number, and if it is the unit (they tend to rebrand stuff locally), from what I read it is not a bad starter unit and works well, although more of a dripping device as apparently the carts dont hold that many puffs. They will also be getting some USB passthrough unit soon which could be a real plus.

I have also purchased some liquid from the site (R110 per bottle), and it is definately more "runny" than the Twisp liquid, but I actually prefer the taste - this could be a personal preference thing.

If anyone buys a dura-c make sure you buy a spare atomizer, I had one DOA (that I returned) and another that burnt out after a month (not particularly heavy vaping).

Im also interested in ecig, but not sure what to buy,
Why you want to buy Dura-c.?

Well i bought the cheapie one which was not that great, battery does not last a night, leaks liquid on your lips.

I bought one yesterday but was very dissapointed.
I used it today after charging overnight for 14 hours but it only lasted until 1pm.
But worst of all is the taste. It tastes like burnt plastic.

I tried it without the filter cartridges and the taste is still there.

I threw some cherry drops directly onto the atomiser and it took away the burnt taste for a couple off puffs, but then it came back. bleh.

Dj did you buy one, how is the smoking going?

I didn't - I just went cold turkey and once I was over the initial cravings it got a helluva lot easier. I had a drag the other night when I got hopelessly pissed and it tasted like crap. I'm now officially an ex-smoker...

Well it seems strange tobacco research would be used as the electronic cigi is taking business away from them, so obviously they will say stuff too avoid this.

I said earlier it concerns me there is little testing on the smoke these electronic cigi's produce for all we know it could be worse.

Which one did you buy?

Sounds strange.

I bought the mini.
I mailed them on their website and they said they will swap out out the atomizer for me.
They will courier it to me or I can collect it at the store I bought it from.
I phoned the store and they said they can only to swapouts under direct instruction from them. Mailed them and asked them to phone the store.
They did so and gave me the person to speak to at the store.
I actualy think it's also the flavour of the cartridges I got so I'm gonna buy a pack of polar mint and see how it tastes.

I bought the twisp mini, realised after a week or two that this might actually work, then got a Dura-C, then an NJoy, and a 801 (from China). The Njoy produces by far the best vapour (really, really good!) but the batteries died after a few weeks. I turned one into a manual switch which plugs into my usb port and it works fairly well.

The 801 is almost exactlythe same as the njoy, but one atomiser lasted only a few days. The other is stillgoing strong 3 weeks later. But they're cheap from China, so I plan to order 2 atomisers a month.

The liquid is also really cheap from China - R80 for a 30ml bottle (10ml sells for around R200 locally, with the cheapest being a chap in KZN who sells 10ml for R110).

All in all, I love vaping, and haven't had an analogue in over 6 weeks. Can't stand the smell of a "real" ciggie now.

WHOOO HOOO. njoy rock. Buy the long one but not the mini. Get them while you can because the more people that catch on the more big tobacco and governments will lobby to ban them. It works out far cheaper topping the cartridges with drops and the savings (health and financial) are considerable after the considerable R800 first investment.
Government wants them banned because *poof* goes the lucrative taxation revenue on tobacco and big tobacco for obvious business reasons.
Admittedly Njoy is just another nicotine delivery device that should be kept out of the hands of the 12 year olds on this forum, but boy, does the thing work just like real cigarettes and the regular cartridges are stronger than our strongest brands.
Ryanair offers e-ciggies for sale onboard. Times are achangin. Vaping Rocks.

Check these babies out at www.smokinganywhere.co.za.

As far as I'm concerned Njoy beats Twisp hands down. Heck these folk should pay me to be their vapour waving Male spokesperson. * fantasizes about Njoying Tracy McGregor*

Hey

Any1 tried both the Twisp and Njoy?
Which versions have you tried and what was your experience?

I have the twisp. On;y found out about NJoy after I bought the twisp.
To be honest, I probably would have gone for NJoy. There's no denying Tracey McGregor..rrrrr

The Twisp is ok.
The battery and filters don't last as advertised though.
Also if you use the drops, you must poke the filter out and place the drops onto the sponge, else everytime you inhale you will pull in liquid which is really annoying. They don't tell you this. Otherwise it's not too bad. I have the Twisp mini.
