Two questions about Internet 5 promo

So yeah, just migrated from Cell C 2gb to 8ta 10gig and I need to know how the 10gig needs to be used. Monthly as in 1 - 30/31 or
or from date of activation say 27th - 27th of following month.

Also, is there an online accurate way of telling how much data I've used/how much is left. I don't trust the Statistics portion of the
8ta tool and I'm also using Netmeter but I'd like a feature similar to what my previous Cell C had, namely you could access a portion of the tool which told you exactly how much of your 2048 mb was remaining.


Thanks guys, so far I'm impressed, I'm currently in George, and the signal is weak but I'm still managing well.

The data is allocated monthly (1-30/31). If you join midway through a month you get allocated, and charged, pro-rata for that month.

There is an online portal where you can check data usage. From my understanding it is real time and pretty accurate.

Yeah, you can register for the portal or, if you go to onnet.8ta.com while you're using your 8ta sim (on the device that's using the 8ta sim to connect to the internet) then you can see your usage without registering.

Only why does it say 919 mb used. (Sounds about right) but 732 mb available?

Your may have got 1650 mb (pro rata), basically you would get around 330mb / day for January so you may have taken out your contract 5 days before month end?

yeah, but only a week of vacation left, wanted to enjoy it to the full. Thanks for all the info guys.
