Big Uber Eats Pass price drop for South Africa

Uber has announced a significant price drop in South Africa for its food delivery subscription service, Eats Pass.

The company sent an email to Uber Eats customers informing them that the monthly price of the Eats Pass has been cut from R50 to R29.90, a reduction of around 40%.

If pass will cover the delivery fee and service fee then it's worth it but for me I don't see value in uber eats pass unless you buy 6 + times a month.

Depending how much you order this might make sense. My averaged delivery fee is R9.00 if i order once a week for a month, i would be saving with this option.

Uber Eats is super annoying with fees. Delivery Fee, Service Fee, 30% cut of the price of the item, then delivery driver tip. Now they also added the option to tip the restaurant. It is insane. They will probably start to add more fees.

Whenever a business announces something like this, always go look for the catch somewhere else. If there is nothing, the business is in real big trouble. Businesses do not simply cut pricing by 40% and continue as normal. If they do, they are in danger in any event.
