Ubiquiti

Out of curiosity how long would the AP stay on for its being powered by a Gizzu 100w/46Wh unit?
Well. Depends on alot but I'd say 5 devices maybe 1-2 hours. Look if you're going to need longer hours you should look at a better solution for the ap's

I'd tell you now, but I'm stuck on a roof

Its 3 Units but I will try the 100w Gizzu and see how long it goes for.
Hope you get down safely..

I have two Gizzu 60Ws, which have a larger battery than the 100W version (65 Wh vs 46Wh). One of them is used to power only a unifi access point and lasts for around 2.5 hours. The other one powers a TUF-AX5400 router (picked one up because it draws next to no power for its specs) and an ONU, which lasts for about 6 hours. Still running a UDM pro + unifi switch for the other access points behind the ax5400. The two Gizzu's were much cheaper as a temporary solution to keep the internet running while I'm waiting for solar + batteries to be installed.

1500 per device so 3k for 2 where as for 6k you could do a system that holds everything for a day or two... ok

You have to include the switch so 3 AP's plus switch is 4 devices needing power

I don't know what POE spec the GIZZU provides, but if it supports 802.3af/A PoE at 6.5W then yes, it will work.

Most of these power supplies that have a POE port only do passive POE not 802.3af/at so depending on the model of Unifi AP, it probably won't work. I know some of the older AP's use passive POE but all the ones I've worked with only use 802.3af/at.

I think that the AC Lite does do passive.

Oh yes I forgot about the Cudy switch and its need for power..
you make a good point on spending 3k and this is why I always consult here 1st..

No probs,
I'd do...
All you need is something that'd work with this and you have enough capacity to last a day or 2
