Ubuntu Intrepid out

Will get it in a day or two on local.

waiting for the rush to die down! :p

I booted up from the live cd, plugged my E220 USB in, and it works like a dream. Asks which country you are in and service provider you are using, and I think it was 3 clicks of the mouse and I was online. Haven't checked anything else out yet...

Why are the articles on MyBB so boring? Maybe it's just me...

Good to hear that. Previously you had to wait for the 3 ports to be detected and use terminal instructions.

Mandriva already had this in last year's release;).

Have you had any sound issues on your laptop with Ubuntu previously?

OMG. mirror.ac.za is crawling. I'm downloading max of 5kbs. Damn ITS SLOW!

will grab it when the mirrors cool down a bit, tried to do a normal update from za.archive.ubuntu.com and can't even connect

If you need to automount an NTFS partition at startup just grab the 'ntfs config tool' from the repos, worked for me with kubuntu8.10

Did an update off the 8.10 RC, runs [-]fine[/-]incredible. It's so cool. I like both the Gnome and KDE4 interfaces here. Haven't noticed any bugs yet luckily.

Am busy downloading the iso for use in later installs though. Getting full speed on my line off mirror.ac.za

I can't get mythtv working though, tuner doesn't detect any channels on scan...

Looks like it's back to Vista as my main OS till I get this sorted :(

Edit:
Nevermind, user error

Kernel version?

What kernel version is Ibex running? I need at least 2.6.25 to get my stooopid Windows Mobile 3G phone working with Microsoft's stooopid non-standard RNDIS protocol module.

2.6.27-7.
3G works out of the box. As soon as I plugged my phone in, it detected it.
