UFO files go down a storm

The National Archives has revealed that the UK has gone UFO mad since it published details of suspected extra-terrestrial sightings

The UFO web page received 264,285 visits in just one day after it launched last month.

According to The National Archives, some 1.3 million files were downloaded in the first four days that the collection was online.

"It just shows the fascination in encounters of a third kind is very real. This launch exceeded our expectations and showcased our ability to deliver large-scale projects in the face of sustained web traffic," said David Thomas, chief information officer at The National Archives.

The records were put online after several requests from the general public under the Freedom of Information Act and cover the period from 1978 to 1987

I wanna see an alien/ufo before I run down the road of insanity. That having been said, I acknowledge that alien life must be out there. For me to deny aliens is like denying the existence of ourselves, because to them we are aliens. I just hope they don't decide to come to South Africa or we might kill them, damn Xenos! I remember seeing a UFO when I was younger... problem is that it happened each night around the same time so I presume it's not alien.

Same here ... till my geography teacher told me it was a satellite, and ruined my UFO encounters permanently!
