Unable to access www.github.com over HTTP or HTTPS

Since Sunday night (4 June 2017), I'm unable to connect to www.github.com.

I'm on Telkom LTE uncapped, in Stellenbosch.
I can access github.com just fine from my phone's Vodacom account, so it's clearly not a github issue.
Does anybody know anything about this?
I'm unable to find a Telkom fault reporting website - I have no idea how to report this!
Any attempt to open a TCP connection on port 22, 80, or 443, just ends up with the connection timing out.

You mean by clicking on "Help" under their mobile section leading you to: http://www.telkom.co.za/today/help/personal/get-help/#!k=get-help-personal

Didn't allow you to send them an email when you clicked on "Send us an Email"? You can also chat to an agent by clicking the button next to it. Weird. Their website must be broken on your LTE too!

I am having the same problem connecting to github.com

apps.ionic.io is behaving the same way.

Same here with trying to access github, Table View, Cape Town. And as a software company, that's kind of a big problem

This isn't the first time this kind of flakiness has happened either.

Hi I am also unable to access blackmagicdesign.com, unrealengine.com, github and some others. Telkom Uncapped LTE can access on my phone thhrough Cell C.

Thanks @halfmoonforever - and no I didn't find that page when I searched for it. I have sent a support email, for what it's worth.

Github is working again. But I did have to sign up for a VPN for one month, just for a day's worth of access.

Try changing DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, sounds like that could be the issue since Shaun108 uses a VPN and works fine.

Shaun108, a VPN changes your network entirely, so even though you may use Telkom LTE to connect to the internet, as soon as you VPN, you use whatever the provider gives you. So it's entirely different to the OP's issue
