Uncapped ADSL bandwidth auctioned

Very good question. I have no idea!!!

They full of surprises!!!

Probably a low gross profit offering so they don't punt it...

Actually I wonder if you could negotiate a 512 uncapped product with them....hmmmmm:erm:

Link? Unless it's advertised on the site, it cannot be a standard product.

My package is also not a "standard product", but hey, Im not complaining :D

Point is Lightscribe, they're not as evil as you would like to believe :p

You can get a uncapped 384kbps account including line rental for R519 per month!!!! They have packages to suit every criteria...

hmmm... sounds too good to be true. That would be by far the cheapest uncapped deal. I smell bull**** -but please prove me wrong. I'll sign up tomorrow if you do. :)

Why not email Laurie and inquire for yourself.....?

Re questions about unadvertised or undocumented products - I discovered the same thing some months ago.
CS has a limited range of standard products, BUT they'll work out a price on pretty much anything you care to ask for. Choose your line speed, choose your cap, send them a mail and they'll work out pricing.
And believe me, I've done this exercise, no one's cheaper. Especially if you take into account their 1-4Mb/s bandwidth is always unshaped (and it's really low latency, too. They improved it recently, somehow - kicks ass on Xbox Live)

Hehehe! I don't think they're bad. :D

I have often agreed that they have some great products.

I have not heard about an uncapped service from them before.

That's really good to know. Sent an email. If they confirm this, I will add them to my sig, since many would like to send their specs and get a "custom quote". ;)

Is cybersmart offering this product? if so I will take it in a flash, thing is, I can't understand the whole idea of them keeping everything under wraps, their new lower prices, and this uncapped product, what the hell is wrong with them?

A company has to be seriously deranged to not advertise their most attractive product on the frontpage of everything they can afford to get their hands on. Cybersmart pple must be smoking something really really nice to think that their product will "advertise" themselves.

Have you not taken the time to actually read some of the posts before bitching about their marketing...? Seriously....

What I don't like is a company that is prepared to sell you something bland until you ask them nicely for what you really want. Like banks who charge the earth for services until you complain, then 'tailor' a package to keep you happy. IMO if they are offering a good deal to start with there's no need to tailor anything.

FYI
The 384k uncapped was just being discussed in another thread. One of the users mailed Laurie and he said it's a new product, being launched 1 December.
384k uncapped for R519 I think, including line rental

Hi, actually I have, the whole idea of keeping it in wraps is still very very stupid in my eyes, no matter how low the profit margins of this might be, this is the time when an ISP should be aggressively gaining market share as bandwidth prices will only lower in the future, now unless cybersmart thinks that its already got too much clients................ which i SERIOUSLY doubt.

+1 my point exactly, why keep things so secretive? is there anything that they sell which borders on illegal? I don't think uncapped internet is supposed to be a dark alley thing.

I am currently using cybersmart's night rider service, and recently got their 4GB instead of three after asking them to bump it up, my point is, why are they still not advertising their new packages properly? its still sitting on their experimental server.

Hi

Yup, R519 all in. We cannot launch until our resellers are given some time to prepare their products. But if you REALLY need to have it this second you can email me and I will
