With the 384 line being phased out will their 384 account bump up to 1Mb or do I have to sign up for the 1Mb account now?

Edit

Asked if the 384k account will be bumped up to 1Mb

I would like to thank you for your email.
The 384k package will only run at 384k speeds.

Seems silly as there won't be 384k lines anymore

Hi Silverlight,

We have a large number of clients who do not wish to pay the extra amount for 1Mbps. Thus we have kept our 384k packages available, as they have become very affordable.

281 accounts left friends!

Does the 384 account run at full line speed after hours? If it does, I may consider if similar offer is still around in January. Looking for cheap after hours uncapped like @lantic's bolt on, but I'm a bit concern about problems with bolt on bandwidth allocation as reported by MyBB members.

Oh, debit order required, sorry, no thank you.

Can I specify that the service start on 1st November? Do I have to move my line from Axxess back to Telkom or can it stay as it is?

If there is available capacity, we share it :) Thus it should.

Just an update, we have 239 of these fantastic accounts left :)

These are selling fast! 184 left!

I have signed up to begin 1/11/2012 and must say response from OW was very quick. I am tired of these ISPs, who you ask three questions and they answer one, 7 days later. I don't mind paying by debit order. It is not if it is a huge amount.

Hi MrBroadband

I believe Charmaine responded to your query :)

Hi MrBeep

I just signed up but my invoice says R109 and has not been adjusted pro rata for month of October should be round about R65.

Thank you for the kind words!

Hi there

If you sign up is that the price you pay for as long as your line is with Open Web? or is just for the month for October and then prices are bumped up again?

From what I read it says this will be your permanent price if you sign up now.

There are no 384 k lines anymore. Entry level ADSL is 1 Mbps so am I to understand that an uncapped offering will cost R79?

Hi Raphael123

The Standard Uncapped price of R79pm is for 384K accounts only, whilst many people are being upgraded to 1Mbps not everyone has been reached yet and some people have requested us to still offer 384K speed accounts so we did.

Best Regards
OpenWeb Support

Quick update, we have 62 of these accounts left!
