Wonder if this still stands, however does a thread count as an add by a forumtee

How do these standard uncapped accounts compare with Mweb's uncapped accounts?

I am interested in performance for international gaming and youtube. I also do not like rolling caps or being throttled after uncertain limits.

Anyone able to shed some light on this from personal experience?

I've been using Openweb for a while now and have used from unshaped to standard accounts. I used a 1 MB standard uncapped account for the month of August and used it for downloads and video streaming. Did not really have any issues expect for my speeds fluctuating.

I have previously had instances where my accounts were so bad that I could barely open websites but I have found Openweb's service and support to be quite good and they always sort the issues out for me.

Hi n!tro,

Thank you for the kind words :) We do try our best to provide our clients with the best!

An update on this promotion - accounts are selling like hotcakes! We are almost out of the 1Mbps product. If you would like to save MEGA cash for the rest of your life, now is the time to act! R109 for 1 Mbps? Of course, it's OpenWeb!

Selfless promotion....hehe

Quick update on this. We have 192 of these accounts left out of 300. The are selling FAST!

Thank you so much for your loyal support!

Signed up.:D

@MrBeep: Can't we make a plan with this debit order business? Signed up anyway because its a great offer...but seriously...not entirely happy about that business. Most banks allow scheduled EFTs...that would suit me infinitely better.

Also I saw a mention of pro-rata in the sign-up process but the invoice is for the full (discounted) amount. Is that correct? Should have read it more carefully.:o

Hi HavocXphere,

The actual billing will be pro rata.

Unfortunately, the promotional offer can only be provided by debit order at this stage :(

Quick update:

We have only 98 of these accounts left! Very close to a sell-out!

Correct. Some folks dont need more than this. The R79 package is ideal for them

Im guessing the 384 offering will need a 1mbps line which is then throttled ?

You'd better be right about the Prorated billing MrBEEP. :) I just signed up for one.

(I see it's also stated on the homepage)
"* Pay only for the remaining days left in September 2012 (You will be billed pro-rata)"

But then you should really fix it, because the system sends an invoice for the full
amount of R109. :( The prorated amount should only be about R61.77 as of today.

Hey Totempole,

Our pro rata billing works in 10 day cycles, not daily.

We are working on displaying this correctly on the system. But for now, the actual debit order amount will only go through pro rata

It's all good, every little bit counts.... And enjoying my newly obtained uncapped account. :)
