If they want to keep this as an upward trend then they need to think quick and adapt to what the users want.

Most people are on 384 so they haven't really experienced real speed hence they can't appreciate it.

Aldo, Consider the recent article about broadband speeds achieved (v advertised) that put said we get 75% of advertised speeds on average (line & account quality before throttling ?) then subtract throttling on uncapped during office hours and the result is in general uncapped is a highly compromised product - quantity over quality (speed) - thus destroying much of the beauty of the web.

I don't download much so I'll stick to my Afrihost capped account and enjoy great speeds all the time.

MWeb launched uncapped ADSL in March 2010 - not March 2012.

"Affordable" was only launched in 2011 I think. :)

Mr. Hershaw, we want pricing & we not worried what the norm is.

This article make me remember, when we first saw mass uncapped, all the time and effort WebAfrica spent trying to convince everybody on mybb that uncapped was unsustainable, unusable and that all the ISP's offering uncapped would go bust...

Since they improved their accounts you can enjoy great speeds with afrihost uncapped too. Check out the afrihost uncapped thread.

Nah, it was March 2010. It's been more than two years already and Mweb is still sitting at the same prices. Alas, I believe MWEB has gone back to it's old self of ripping off customers like they did before they "freed the web"

Actually, MWeb recently reduced the prices of their entry level uncapped speed, which is now 1mbps. And although they might be a bit more expensive than some other ISPs, I can say that they shape the least. I can run torrents at 80% speed throughout the day. When I was with Axxess, I couldn't do anything when the shaping started.

Nope, my MWeb uncapped 384K was reduced from R219 to R199 in May 2012 and then upgraded for free to 1Mbps.
MWeb have actually been dropping the prices.
 
100 on that...mweb dropping prices while increasing the capacity...
I can also confirm torrent...they run like a dream...

don't know why but they are better than the newsgroups...go figure.

yup.. already cancelled. moving to afrihost 4mb uncapped @ end of month
