You do know the proper procedure is to contact support when you have an issue right?
I agree and I have been there and done that. I plan to contact support and see how it goes since I am tied in for another 50 days or so. I actually connected back to my openweb account now. Speedtest is about 3mb and browsing is fast again but YouTube is noticeably worse than with afrihost, but I was actually able to load a video which I couldn't before. My problem with "contact support" is when I am at work and my wife is trying to work from home she doesn't really want to be messing about with stuff and she really doesn't want to be turning off the router for 10min at a time to see if it helps.
It was with shock to read this article and find out I am with the most expensive 10mb uncapped ISP. For so many years Afrihost was the value provider but now it is significantly more expensive compared to its peers. Afrihost please revise your pricing and keep up the great service.
Is uncapped really worth it anymore? I'm seriously considering a 200gb capped account with vox. There will always be issues with uncapped atleast with capped you don't spontaneously start to get "managed" at the end of the month( I hope?).
I also need an account with two concurrent connections. One for home and one for work.
If you need daytime usage you need at least Gold from Openweb.

I moved from OpenWeb because their gold package failed me everyday from 11H00 until day end.
OMG the pricing on business options is far from impressive. I remember the "use our router" and R1500 setup from around 5 years ago. Does that still exist? The setup costs pay for the (what used to be) Billion router.
