Unexpected Pregnancy

it's not his body so lets not go there shall we. no one can say or make a claim to a woman's decision in what she decides with regards to abortion. not the father of the child nor society. so everyone needs to stay the hell out of her decision making. the end.

While you are correct to a degree, that is not the right way to do things in a healthy relationship. If it was his unborn fetus he should have some say in the destruction of his son/girl/octopus.

But yeah you seem pretty hostile. Perhaps one to many morning after pills.

Most ridiculous thing I have ever read.

If my gf who I was in a serious relationship with aborted my child without consulting me, I'd abort her!

Every man has the right to know if he has fathered a child. It's his decision just as much as the woman's if he wants to keep it. Should the woman not want to keep it and the man does, they can come to an agreement to carry the child till birth and then the father can take full custody of the child.

Celine, stop trolling.

Hold up there people. You need to understand how doctors report on term into the pregnancy.

When a doctor says 5 weeks he does not mean 5 weeks since the egg was fertilised. They mean 5 weeks since the first day of her last period. So if she is 5 weeks along in pregnancy terms, and she will ovulate about 10 to 18 days after that, then it puts the 3 weeks mark at a reasonable timeframe. Especially seeing as sperm can live inside a woman for a few days.

5 weeks pregnant minus about 2 weeks to cater for the time between menstruation and ovulation, puts you at around 3 weeks since conception.

I would confirm that this is the method that the doctor is using. Most do use this method, especially this early on. Don't immediately assume infidelity is afoot.

Yep this.

Sorry to hear she had an abortion without consulting you. You will never know what an awesome kid you just missed out on.

1. An abortion is not proof of infidelity. It is proof that she is not ready to have a baby.
2. She does not have to consult anyone about what she does with her body.

Christ, are we living in the 1950's or something?

Why would she even tell you that she was prego if the child weren't yours and she had an abortion anyway?

She had her reasons why she chose abortion. And if she was cheating and sure the baby wasn’t his, I don’t think she would have told him about the pregnancy let alone the abortion.

legally father has no say.

I just think its an injustice to demand child support should the child be yours yet when it comes to abortion you have no rights or say. I agree its her body but it takes two to tango.

the baby wasn't part of her body either, it had its own DNA.

OP, if she made the decision without you, dump her and let her **** guys without a condom at her leisure

Yep i agree, i'd dump this girls ass so fast.

100% agree that the final decision lies with the woman to exercise her right to abort, but where the real meat of the issue is where she did it without consulting you as the father of the child.

If she can make such large decisions without a basic discussion to get your feeling on it, then obviously she doesn't value your opinion that highly in her framework of thinking. That opens up quite a big can of worms, and at least you have that opportunity to take a breath after dodging the commitment bullet and figure out if that is what you want from a relationship.

Are you not going into this a bit fast? Do you not have a trusting relationship yet? If it is like this before you make long term plans, or marriage, rather walk away as your doubts will continue to haunt you

I'm actually with Celine on this one - it is a woman's body and she has the right to terminate it if she likes. She can ask the father for input, if she wants, but ultimately, the decision is hers to make.

However, on the flip side, I feel that if the father wants the woman to get an abortion, she should have no right to demand maintenance.

:wtf:

It's not just about the simple matter of her body. How do you not see the bigger picture here? :wtf:

Surely Celine and BLS are trolling. WTF.

No, I dont think so. I agree with her and I am 100% not trolling. Does a woman have to consult you if she wants to go on the pill?
