Unexpected Pregnancy

to bad for the man he is not the one having to go thru the pregnancy, hormonal changes, child birth etc. get over yourselves all you "christian" like men of this forum. you do NOT EVER have a say in what, when, how a woman does with the pregnancy. if she wants to abort she does not have to consult with you, she can consult with her best friend if she wants to.

I bet your husband wishes he was aborted.

there is a difference when there is a cimmitted relationship. in this instance the OP doesn't seem nearly as committed now does he? in a long standing relationship there is a different story i.e. when i was pregnant with my 2 daughters and in a relationship with their father. i knew he wasn't about to run off we both made the decision to have kids.

Yet your argument has come across as a generalisation, not specific to his situation. And anyway, OP has stated that his GF did tell him beforehand and they both agreed. The argument started before that bit of information was clarified, but regardless, you say that it is different if they are in a Long term relationship. Op seems like he is. To me, if it is not a 1 night stand, and you have been having consensual sex with the same person for more than a few weeks, then the decent thing to do is at least talk to them before getting the Vac.

there is nothing to discuss. the longer you leave the pregnancy going the harder it is to abort the pregnancy.

One day will not decrease the option for an abortion nor will a week if its this early in it. So please don't see what you want to see.

I even just asked my girlfriend and she even says that you should at least consult the father even IF you are going to have the abortion, he has the right to know. But if she fked about his back and had the abortion without asking well then its pretty obvious why she did it.

Haha, I am glad someone read my third post clearing everything up. For a second there I thought I was going mad and didn't actually send it.

We been in a relationship for 4 months. Not the longest, but definitely not a one-night stand.

Four months and having unprotected sex? dafuq. Have you or her had your HPV vaccines?

I mostly agree with what you said but think the girl should still discuss it with her partner at least. In the end it is her decision though. She is the one going to have to take leave, miss out on studies et c. It's easy for some guys to say 'but its my baby too' but its much easier for the guy to pack his bags and go when the responsibility becomes too much but the mother of the child can't just do that. I've seen with my own eyes so many relationships where pregnant girls are forced into making decisons they don't agree with and end up being the ones paying the price.

Obviously its not always the case but there are always two sides to a story and both should be considered.

get over that crap there is no life until a child is actually born and breathing i.e. takes it's first breathe.

A bit OT but I don't agree with that statement, mainly because my son arrived at 26/27 weeks and spent his first 85 days in the NICU on all manner of machines. Technically he should be dead and first breath is not a definition of life, there is life before in the womb. Exactly when it starts, is another argument.

if a baby is born at that gestation and takes a breathe, then he/she is living. even if the first breathe was with the help of the nurses.

So by your definition, a full-term, stillborn is just medical waste and the parents should just get over it and try again?

oh don't be pathetic man. someone carrying a baby till full term and the baby is stllborn is completely different. that baby was a wanted pregnancy the parents couldn't help the stillborn. your logic is just plain idiotic.

Hey Celine, this is for you and everyone else that belives that abortion IS NOT MURDER

Dr. Bernard Nathanson's classic video that shocked the world. He explains the procedure of a suction abortion, followed by an actual first trimester abortion as seen through ultrasound. The viewer can see the child's pathetic attempts to escape the suction curette as her heart rate doubles, and a "silent scream" as her body is torn apart. A great tool to help people see why abortion is murder. The most important video on abortion ever made. This video changed opinion on abortion to many people

Respectfully, I disagree. As I said, it is up for debate but my personal opinion and from what we learned watching a difficult pregnancy progress, it's around 22 weeks gestation as that is when the mind becomes active.

My logic? That's YOUR logic! :wtf:

You do not consider a a fetus an independent being unless it breathes.

it's "part of the woman's body", it's just the body wiggling around in there

I see no one has considered that fact that if the OP had abstained from sex altogether, he would never have this problem. I see no reason why people are even prepared to take a life yet they knew having sex is meant for procreation not simply a pleasurable experience. So I am saying that complaining about it is pointless as you reap what you sow, for both future parents.

As for question of when life starts in the womb, it is the day the egg is fertilised and it becomes a zygote. That is from a physiological point of view
