Unifi AP LR help please

See,there's an extra distinction

If its solid amber DIRECTLY after a reboot, not cycling through the various flickerings except the green startup - it's a brick

The device isn't able to get an IP and it's not resetting itself to the default IP. Can't speak to it can't configure it

So it's a fancy orange light

Had enough DOA or DOReset to know

Well, send me all of yours in that state, and I'll "dispose" of them for you.

Client had the same issue with one of those...
Got klobbered by lightning and tried everything to revive it (UniFi support, forums, updating firmware using pumpkin etc)
Landed up keeping the mounting bracket and recycled the unit.

So, what is the verdict? Is the AP bricked when you can't access via LAN.

My controller does see the AP (wireless uplink) but can't provision it.

1. 90% yes
2. If its older APs they should be provisioned over wire then disconnected

Thank you, makes sense. I have a really old model and seems it needs to be provisioned first.
I think mine was water damage.
IF you can SSH to it over the wireless link you might be able to force provision it by doing set-inform
