Uniterm Direct

They're on the forum, can't say how after sales is as nothing i've bought has broken yet :P

No problems having stuff repaired, replaced. Just take it back, they check it out and let you know

No problems with them.

Have bought quite a bit of equipment from them over the last few years and they haven't given me any hassles for returns.

Very friendly and helpful chaps.

In my case I had 2 bad experiences where they refuse to exchange a faulty router. Even thou they did test it themselves and confirm its faulty. No reason given as too why thou. So just trying to figure out if its a general thing.

Hmm, odd, have you spoken the guys in the Cape Town office?

I've had stuff exchanged and refunded (just made sure that all original packaging was intact, etc)

I use them quite often, never had to take anything back but I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem as they seem very customer oriented.

Thats what I thought initially. The network keeps dropping for no reason (wifi & lan). After I've emailed and spoken to them on the phone and after they tested it and said they would exchanged it. However they did not have a replacement for me at the time. After a couple of weeks I gave them a call to do the exchange and they said they have stock. When I got there the just said that they won't exchange it without giving any reason as to why.

So this is my skepticism about them.

devilfp, I've replied to your PM, send me the details and I'll have a look at the technicians report and see why the unit wasn't replaced, our technicians always give a reason if a unit doesn't get replaced so not sure why this wasn't done on this occasion but once I have the details I'll investigate this.

Just also bear in mind though that the 2 year warranty covers defect due to manufacturing fault so if for example the unit was damaged because of power surge, lightning, abuse etc... we will not replace the unit, not saying that's the case here I'm merely pointing it out.

Hi devilfp

I spoke to the RMA staff this morning and they checked the serial number you provided and we cannot pickup that product as ever being booked in, in fact, if the serial number is correct then the unit wasn't purchased through us and you'll need to return it to the company that you purchased it from as we do not offer warranties on products purchased through alternate channels, it should also have a Uniterm warranty sticker if it was purchased from us so have a look for that.

The alternative is to send the unit back to us, mark it for my attention and I will ensure a thorough test is done on the unit and provided it was purchased through us and is a valid factory fault, we will replace the unit, if however it is not a factory fault we will unfortunately not be able to replace it.

Never had an issue with the guys at all, friendly and easy to deal with.

I will be purchasing more stuff from them in the not too distant future.
