Which is the point I want to raise, it's hardly rational to pose a question without understanding the term. I for one don't, if you do please feel free to enlighten me. Do you agree?

This is a joke right? (in this thread nothing would surprise me anymore)

Surely no-one is dumb enough to think it is better to take on some adrenaline pumped drunk Afrikaners that happen to carry weapons than it is to take on the same species unarmed?!? :wtf:

I think to save what little rep you have left pull the apartheid card for your inability to comprehend how silly your responses are. Say something like "Its because apartheid, I am not understanding!" then burn something.

The response that "white culture" would have had to this would have been bending over and getting raped, and then thanking their rapist for raping them because they deserved it. Basically, the same response that we had from all the unis to these protests when they first started. Lots of agreement, pandering and enabling.

THIS particular response, however, is clearly the rejection of "white culture" by white people who have correctly acknowledged that "white culture" is a strategy akin to spiking your own drink in a club full of rapists.

DUT SRC president suspended

Durban - The Durban University of Technology has suspended its SRC president, Sphesihle Mthembu, and two other students after Monday’s rampage.

Three more students were expected to be handed suspension notices to take the tally of suspended students to six.

A group of about 100 students had allegedly yanked students out of classes and the library, chasing them off the Steve Biko campus and setting off fire extinguishers on Monday afternoon.

They were protesting over the shortage of student accommodation; for outsourced workers to be hired directly by the university; and over transformation issues.

University spokesman, Alan Khan, said three students had been served with notices of suspension, while university authorities were looking for another three who would be served with suspension notices, once found.

Among those handed notices was Mthembu, who received his on Monday evening.

UKZN gets final court order against protesters

Durban - The University of KwaZuluNatal on Tuesday secured a final court order against the student representative councils at its different campuses, as well as protesting workers and students.

Last week, the university was granted an interim order against nine respondents, including the Central Student Representative Council as well as the student councils on each campus in Durban and Pietermaritzburg.

The SA Liberated Public Sector Workers’ Union was also listed as a respondent.

Hundreds of outsourced workers had recently downed tools and started striking, calling to be employed directly by the university because this would mean higher salaries and pension benefits and would allow their children to study at the university free of charge.

University students joined the strike, which was apparently being led by the union.

Speaking to the Daily News late on Tuesday, SRC president on the Pietermaritzburg campus, Siphelele Nguse, said the students were still in a meeting with university management, including its vice-chancellor Dr Albert van Jaarsveld, about the protests.

He said the SRC did not have the funds to instruct legal counsel to oppose the university’s court application, which is why they were not in court on Tuesday.

“We told them (the university) at the time they were granted an interim order we didn’t want it to be made final, but they still went to court,” he said.
