University Protests 2016

I understand why they protested the way they did (it was basically a "Hey white people with money, notice us, we are here and we are poor"), but I don't think it was meant to be a peaceful protest. One of the videos I saw online has a protester shouting "Come! Come! Come!" and taunting an angry Afrikaans guy who was being ushered away by security. All hell breaks loose not long after.

I am pretty sure the EFF has been the main force in all this student/outsourcing shenanigans, even if they aren't officially endorsing it. After all, their facebook posts always come out in support of them after the sh*& has hit the fan.

You know exactly what we mean, you are just scared to answer truthfully but I did not expext anythinhmg else from your kind

What's my kind? I asked you if outsourcing is as sensitive an issue to Afrikaans people as the old national anthem? You're comparing an outsourcing protest with singing the old national anthem. In that case you'd definitely get your ass kicked.

But nobody will get worked up over BEE like you suggest they would.

I think this is what people need to realise... they have been pushing and pushing, eventually others are going to push back.

Aggressive protesting just turns people against you.

Where exactly are you going with this? Your arguments seem to be all over the show. I think the majority of people on this forum can logically deduce that this protest was to antagonise those at the match and they managed to do just that. You ignore the vast majority of violence perpetrated against those that stood up for themselves that evening and focus on a single event. Can I put it to you that you my friend are bias?

Figure it out

Annoy them? Yes. Fist fight? I doubt. So the people who stormed the grounds had been attacked? When? Where? How?
And I'm biased? Really?

I haven't seen you condemn the violence before hand, or an inkling to go and dig a little further prior to the incident happening. So an educated guess would say you are bias. So some peeps knocked some peeps around and visa versa, but hey blame one side; it's the hip thing to do these days.

Then the violence is unacceptable. But I'm sure I said that somewhere in the UP thread but then if I didn't, there its wrong.

So I see a guy hitting that girl. And he seemingly was dealt with. So who did the guys on the field attack?

Edit: Btw, that girl is not "The people who stormed the grounds"

Have you considered hiring a private investigator to get to the bottom of this seemly ILLOGICAL scenario? I can see the incident troubles you rather deeply.

Cause and effect. Something that happened a few minute prior will still be around on the field.

No footage exists yet on who threw first punch on field... so, who knows who started it. I'd wager on the protesters, due to they way they are acting prior to it. But, haven't seen any proof.

Regardless... they were there for a fight, got it and lost.

Is the violence right, no, of course not, were they justified, no, of course not. But...

She also didn't go there to be in a fist fight.

So this culture of the whites justifies the attack?

Could you elaborate on exactly what a 'white culture' is? I'm not entirely sure about the ins and outs here, perhaps we could help you further if we understood?
