As expect it only the fault of those who chased them off the field,not the protesters,

Chasing someone off the field is not the same as kicking them repeatedly. The protester who did the same thing during a PSL match last week at Wits was quickly rushed off the field and she came out of it without a scratch.

The, "They shouldn't have messed with rugby" coming from a lot of people sounds a lot like their condoning it and its disgusting.

I condone directing physicality towards protesters who won't protest peacefully without disrupting people. There seems to be this idea with SA protesters that because one is protesting one now has the right to disrupt the lives of others, to infringe upon the rights of others. By all means protest but don't stop an entire event while doing it. You have no right to do that and if you do do that expect those actions to met with resistance.

Look how these university protests are being conducted. These people are blocking streets, setting things on fire, stopping sporting events, disrupting the studies of students. It simply isn't on. Protest peacefully without disrupting the lives of others or lose my sympathy.

Note having said that I don't agree with assaulting protesters.

Unfortunately the real fault here lies with the universities of this country for failing to maintain a safe and secure environment on campus. These protesters should never have been allowed to reach the rugby field in the first place. These savages are running around assaulting people in race-based hate crimes, denying people access to food on the basis of race, destroying property etc. this cannot continue and it is the universities' responsibility to see to it that it stops.

A question for you, when a protester interrupts someone from doing what they want, what must the inconvenienced party do? Demand their right to be respected (much as the protesters want their rights respected)? Who has more rights?

Labour laws and BEE scores force many institutions to outsource.

And it is also not against the law. Cosatu and all of its alliances hate it and that's why it is a national issue. Not something you take to a rugby match to be 'heard'.
