Unknown wifi sign

Hi. Could someone explain what this additional sign means next to my wifi sign. It's on the left side. A solid circle with two outer circle lines thats not complete at the bottom. It appeared when i started using my new CAT6 Huawei mobile router. The sign is on my android phone.

Some suggestions are that it is WiFi with hotspot enabled.

I'm using a Huawei mate 20

Wifi Hotspot or Direct Share over WiFi (i.e. screen mirroring to a projector or TV)

That icon means you are connecting to a mobile hostpot, eg A device sharing it's internet connection via a SIM card.

So it makes sense when connecting to a mobile router.

You will see the same icon when connecting to a phone sharing a hotspot.
