Afrihost 50gig package will be your best value for money unshaped.

Hi BrianStephan

Please note that I have sent you a DM; please respond to it if you would like more information on the MWEB products.

Kind regards,
MWEB operations

...stay away from MWEB (especially their uncapped & hosting services), in the last month I have moved > 10 clients in Cape Town away from them due to no access, poor throughput and continual billing errors!

See: http://www.hellopeter.com/search_results.php?search=MWEB

I suggest you contact Afrihost (IS issues though and some rate limiting) or TRL Tech / Open Web. Ask for a small test account and confirm the marketing promises.

MWEB's administration processes have deteriorated to such an extent, that I have implemented a R 500 surcharge with any dealings with the company.

Yes, check Hallo Peter - Even if you are on a capped package and you do not require uncapped they will try to convince you to move to uncapped.

There are far more reliable and cost effective ISP offerings available, ask them to PM you a small test account , TEST it and confirm, you are happy with the service, use http://www.measurementlab.net/.

Generally the smaller ISP's deliver far better quality bandwidth and personalised service without any billing issues; than those with bigger marketing budgets (i.e. more bull and less delivery).

Should you require the best throughput and a stable service, see my advice here: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/archive/index.php/t-256470.html (Note: WebAfrica is no-longer an option though, as their service levels have dropped dramatically and continual issues with their routing and shaping policies - if you are only going to utilise their services during after-hour periods, it should not pose a problem)

Also, it is preferred to leave your line with Telkom.

Happy surfing.
