Looks like he laid into him pretty good after slamming him on the chair. Too bad the security intervened :(
 
I think it's also important to note that this is (most probably) the Head of Security here at Tuks, so hopefully this kid doesn't get away with it..

Good heavens boetie. I am saying that my colleagues and their parents wanted to go to/wanted their kids to go to UP because its was known as a serious place for study so no time or money is wasted. I am saddened because it seems to have become a breeding ground of silly (yes, silly, since many lectures are in English) protests by disgruntled "students" who are either too lazy or stupid to pass and then spoil it for everyone else. That's what I am saying.

Just seen a message that Tuks students have been asked to evacuate the campus. :(

You still haven't answered my question. Why does it matter? If you said YOU went to UP because X, Y, Z it would have made sense. En ek verstaan. Op skool, het ek Afrikaans as eerste additionele taal gedoen(something like that).

Because we are not placating pushovers. We fought the British Imperial army and won (well the first time around, the second time around they had to resort to some very dirty tactics, but we gave them a good licking).

Sounds like the afrikaners resorted to some "dirty" tactics :p
 
These students will never stop...and it's only a handful of them.

Once this language debacle is over and done with, they'll find something else to protest about. They should just get expelled, period!

If they're not there to STUDY towards their own FUTURES, then I say they don't deserve the privilege of studying at any tertiary institution!
 
I think it is less about forcing English-only onto the university than about the arrogant way it was done. I foresee that now another issue will be found to protest over. Probably about the cafeteria food or something. Heaven forbid that any studies should take place or any exams written this academic year.
