Upcoming Games

@Beyond.Celsus You're giving hope for stalker 2, though one cannot ignore review upon review and comment upon comment on reddit where people have issues.
I'll give it a few months.

Some reviewers will review the game based on the game alone and ignore bugs whereas others will review it based on their overall experience with the bugs and issues included.

I have only been on the game for 2 hours and so far nothing noteworthy of putting it aside yet. I will see how the weekend's gameplay goes and take it from there.

But then again, I pushed through the initial Cyberpunk launch version play through so maybe I am not the best person to speak

I did the same with Jedi Survivor. If a game hooks me, I generally look past bugs and performance issues. Most dev's will push out optimization patches relatively quickly, lets hope these okes do the same.

Something to consider here is that they made this game while in an active war with Russia. That in itself is absolutely remarkable, so I can definitely look past a bit of optimization and bugs.

Yeah, got to first village and the fps drops started to appear. I am still running everything at 1440 epic so I am sure with a little tinkering in the settings things will run more smoothly. Probably have to push shadows down low because that normally tanks any games fps, along with the dev's bringing out patches to better optimize performance.

Overall, atmosphere, graphics, combat is all looking lekker so far. Only thing that I have picked up so far that I don't like (and maybe just me nit picking) is the overall UI especially the inventory. It is a bit clunky, they should have taken a page out of Tarkov on how an inventory should work, but not too phased, there will most likely be a mod soon that makes it work better.

This will definitely be my December game..
Loving it so far
Inventory is almost a direct copy of the original with animations added in. personally can do without the opening animation. Just a waste of time. Still trying to figure out how to rotate items though?
I doubt changing graphic settings will change the FPS in the village. Seems they have the same optimization issue as Dragon's Dogma 2

Developer will have to release a patch

Game is damn good though. I'm still only in the lesser zone. Map is bloody huge

Jirr could not for the life of me figure out how to rotate an item... left mouse and R does not work

There are issues, sure
Personally I've had very few

But, I am not going to say other people are lying. They may just be unlucky, but one must also take into consideration the human element and how people will try running a game at graphic settings their PC just cannot handle. Installed on HDD. Ram not dual channel, etc

Variables are just too high

They also admitted there are issues with A-life 2.0 and that it is not working as intended and working on a fix

The game also definitely needs some optimization. If you have Gampass, I can highly recommend a download
As a long time Stalker fan, buying it out right on steam would still have been worth it for me

Otherwise, yeah. Give them some time to iron it out some more
They are working from a warzone after all

They should give Nikita a call

Oh wait. No Russian

I just thought of middle mouse maybe. Will try that tonight

Stalker 2 I am still in the wilderness, exploring but getting 130-150 ish fps.
Weird hitching when opening and closing PDA thing. Also opening closing escape menu.
Saw dude having shoot out with a group of guys. Decided to just watch.
Approached when it was over, and dude thanked me for helping him... huh?
Any case want to properly get stuck in over the weekend.

Eternal strands looks quite promising. Game is being developed by Mike Laidlaw new studio. Has a release date of 28 Jan 2025.
