Hi it has come to my attention ( here: http://www.intomobile.com/2009/03/20/sony-ericsson-s302-w302-get-firmware-updates.html ) that there is a firmware update (version RICB001) for my bug ridden Sony Ericsson W302.
I would like to know if i can get this firmware update at Vodacare. i emailed sonyericsson and they said:
"Dear Marshall,
Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson on the World Wide Web.
With regards to your query,
We cannot confirm that that VodaCare will be able to perform the update, we advise that you contact them and inquire. However, we can confirm that the update is not available on our website, and that, visiting a service center would be the best option."
So essentially in other words they have no idea.
I phoned Vodacare Gateway in Umhlanga. the lady i spoke to was unsure and she siad she would phone me back after i gave her my details. which i did. that was last week wednesday. i have not recieved a peep from them.
So i ask you with tears in my eyes can i please get this update done at Vodacare Gateway??? can you find out for me please?
