Upgrade from S4 to ?

I have the HTC One M7 and I'd definitely go for the M9 if they keep up this momentum.

My M7 camera really is not bad at all. In low light it destroys all phones, but in bright light the lack of megapixels is evident when zooming. It's not a deal breaker and I love HTC Sense. Most other phones seem cartoony when compared.
 
I too went S2 to S4 (with all the notes in-between). Decided on a change from Sammy and went Nexus 5.
Now on the LG G3 and am hooked. Easy the best phone I have had.

Considering it even beat the Nexus to get Lollipop... Well... G3 for me.

What amuses me is that for years people hated on HTC with their sense UI, and now that the phone comes in aluminium its the best thing since oreo's. Even back in the day, sense 3.0 was damn good, barring you didnt buy the 'el cheapo handsets which were slow ( exactly why people hate on touchwiz also, buy crap, you get crap )
 
Due for an upgrade in jan. Decided Im gonna keep my S4 till something really good comes out.

I had an S4 until a few weeks ago. There are plenty of viable upgrade options right now.
 
Eish its a difficult one... Im also about to upgrade (24th month is april next year) but can upgrade in jan. Wife wants the Note 4 asap... We both got S4's but reading all the posts i dont know if i should take Note 4 now in jan or hold on to S4 till april? Note 4 is the phone to have now according to most reviews... Any opinions much appreciated
 
Both MKBHD and PocketNow rate HTC one m8 as phone of the year...

I suggest walking into a Vodashop or any other cellphone shop where they have them on display and giving them a go. I had an S4 since launch last year and got the Note 4 at launch this year and cannot be happier, it is a jump from the S4 in every single way, from size, performance, battery life ESPECIALLY battery life, display quality, camera, build quality etc... A worthy upgrade and IMO the only way to go if you like all the extra stuff TouchWiz brings.

The Note 4 is a truly differentiated device from everything else out there, especially with the SPen feature, it also brings low latency audio, something iPhone has always had over Androids.

my next upgrade is likely to be the moto x 2014 32gb.

the only drawback is that it has no external sd. but i've managed fine thus far with my htc one x.
 
As I mentioned in another thread, my Nexus 4 was diefed over the weekend. I don't want too big of a phone (women's pants just don't have the pockets and I can't deal), and also don't really want too spend more than I would on a Nexus 5 (if I could find one). 5 is bordering on too big for me though as well.

So if the options were:
LG G3 (might be bit big)
Z3 Compact
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini
or a new Nexus 4

what would your choice be? Taking price into account too, I'm not made of money.

Edit: Don't mean to hijack the thread, just didn't want to add yet another similar topic to the mix.
