No it really took six minutes from start to finish... Booting takes about 3 seconds - really impressed!

How did you measure that, from pressing the power button to desktop? Fastest I got was 10 seconds on a HP Zbook i7.

Oh, I'm totally sold on SSD for Win 8. I love the fact that a cold boot takes 6-8 seconds on my 3 year old Lenovo. That's from press of the button and includes POST.
