Hi guys,

So I been trying to sort out this new issue I been having with uPlay. When I launch uPlay, it will show the uPlay login window then show an error about an unrecoverable error and that it needs to shut down.

What I have tried so far was to uninstall uPlay and then reinstall it - this did not work for me. I tried a solution offered on the uPlay website: https://support.ubi.com/en-gb/faq.aspx?platformid=60&productid=2716&faqid=kA030000000eSrvCAE This is where you uninstall, then delete remaining files, then repair the hosts file, then install uPlay. This still didnt work for me. I also tried clearing out all files in the temporary folder.... that did not work for me.

Does anyone know what is causing this issue and how it can be resolved?

Thanks.

Could you let me know if it worked before and if it did work before , when did you notice this error?

I started noticing this error yesterday.... uPlay was working fine all of last year. When I wanted to play Far Cry 3, it worked fine, up until now.

I don't think I can be of much help but try the following:

1. Check if you had installed any other programs from the time UPlay worked perfectly until it stopped working , maybe uninstall them and try to use UPlay

2. If that does not work use UPlay in safe mode.

Hope this helps
