Hi,

I have a bunch of UPS's with various size batteries that need new batteries.

Where would you suggest I get them?

RS Components wants R750excl vat for one of the types I need and that UPS needs 2 batteries.
I can buy a brand new UPS of the same strength for R1499...

Mantech Electronics

I usualy pay R140ish including VAT for the standard 12V7AH battery.

I bought 9Ah (same physical size as the 7Ah ones) batteries for my UPS at Electronics123 in the Atterbury Boulevard center in Atterbury Road

Some of these are 8.5Ah according to RS UK's website.

Thanks for the ideas, I will give them a shout as well.

One warning, 9Ah battery might not be the best for UPS. They work the best with alarm equipment - low current discharge. UPS requires high current version (like a car starting battery). If you buy 6.5-7.5Ah battery it will be more likely the high current version.
