Urgent. Peadophile?

Dude trust, she will be better off

True, but we always put in place preventative measures, safety belts in card, fir and burglar alarms in the house, a good education, I will not call letting your 16 year old date a adult preventative.

I reckon 16/24 is a bad combination. Yes she may be mature etc but I think it's a bit much.
Who knows, maybe the guy is descent but if it were my daughter, I wouldn't approve.

I'm female and I thought I knew what I wanted when I 16 too... Being older now, I realise I hadn't a clue

Good on you. If my father had spent more time with me I'd probably have had different experiences.

It's all about installing morals

As a parent you can only do and control so much, I know that, but I do not want to look back with 20/20 hindsight and relies that I could have done something to prevent tragedy, if I do my best, and it still happens, I would not blame myself, then I only wish that I have the strength and wisdom to be supportive.

**this thread is officially derailed** new topic- teenage sex lol

SA isn't exactly a very Catholic country. What you heard was
more indicative of South African tradition than a Catholic one :).

i went to a Catholic co-ed highschool. i've heard stories and have stories of my own...;)

but then again, the girls involved didnt seem very religious...

Not really, for me it was coming down to this from the beginning, just had to deal with some delinquents along the way, sad really they might have learned a thing of two by sticking around, I know I did.

So screaming “oh! god I’m coming” doesn’t count as religion?:D:D

Have you learnt to just get over it because there's nothing you can do?
