People are researching it and the evidence shows that due to the bigotry, prejudice and abuse they face at home, at school and at work results in depression that leads to suicides, substance abuse as they look to escape the hatred they face.

I imagine making it illegal to discriminate against LGBTQ folk *because* they're LGBTQ folk is an excellent framework to work in...

...and it's not grandstanding at all.

So you are saying there is no possibility of this being interwined with mental issues , body dysmorphia etc .
You are saying an entire subgroups problems are because of everyone else ?
Id like to see that pulled anywhere else in life.
Its wrong for politicians to act like they care when they are actually doing nothing but bluffing the people.
 
I used to be opposed to Trump but recent events around the world have resulted in me seeing Trump as the lesser evil. Trump is actually the sane one.

Id imagine that if everyone has the same set of rights , which they do , then you can stop dividing humans into small bunches of people and actually get to the business of passing laws for the benefit of everyone.
You know like politicians are meant to do ? Not pander to 3% or 13|% of a population but to pander to the entire populations needs.

Until yesterday, in 29 of the 50 states, you could get fired for simply being gay... But tell me more about, "everyone has the same set of rights".

If a man decides to identify as a woman does he then get less pay?
 
This is a good judgment. Description based on any silly identity group whatever should not be allowed.

People should only be fired for not doing their job. Not because they identify as a xe or a unicorn or something.

No , it means that companies would hire more gay guys who identify as females so that they can fire at will while also paying the manlady less than hetero's.

You don't have to be a gay guy in order to identify as female. I identity as female and I'm not a gay guy.

No darling , i want equal rights for all , not special subgroup rights which only matter in run ups to elections.
What you just linked was simply proof of special treatment for 2% of a population , wheres the hetero rights greg ?
Did you know that companies can fire hetero men and women just because they may not agree with LBTQinissm ?
It is wrong to spotlight these issues as election issues , where is the research and protection against drug abuse/suicide/etc that LGBTQP needs ?

Title VII means you can't discriminate based on gender identity, orientation or colour.

Last I checked that means I, as a cis, heterosexual, white male, would have protections.


But please, don't let that get in the way of your foot-stomping and pouting.
