Senate committee sought investigation of Bannon, raised concerns about Trump family testimony

The Senate Intelligence Committee believed former Trump confidant Stephen K. Bannon may have lied to Congress, according to a letter obtained by The Times.

The Senate Intelligence Committee has sent a bipartisan letter to the Justice Department asking federal prosecutors to investigate Stephen K. Bannon, a former Trump confidant, for potentially lying to lawmakers during its investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

The letter, a copy of which was reviewed by The Times, was signed by the panel’s then-chairman, Republican Sen. Richard M. Burr, and its ranking Democrat, Sen. Mark Warner.

It also raised concerns about testimony provided by family members and confidants of President Trump that appeared to contradict information provided by a former deputy campaign chairman to Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III. Those it identified as providing such conflicting testimony were the president’s son Donald Trump Jr., his son-in-law Jared Kushner, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks.

Locked up mail boxes, depots full of mailboxes that have been removed from the streets, Trump' statements about de-funding the postal service.

It really does look like they are doing everything to handicap the postal service.

There are numerous reports stating there are delays in medication deliveries from USPS. I suppose dump thinks this doesn't affect republicans.

1) I refuse to acknowledge when people are trolling, that just incentivises them.
2) I don't recall the "opposition" in the US wanting the elections postponed too.

So if Trump's opposition wanted the elections postponed, he's not a power-grabbing authoritarian, but if they didn't, he is a power grabbing authoritarian? :unsure:

No. But unless you believe that he believed that, then obviously his remark was trolling people who irrationally call Trump a dictator for wanting to do the same thing. You coming along and finding an exception in the story that supposedly deflates the mockery doesn't really work given the weakness of the objection (i.e. that leaders ought to have consensus before making decisions). All you're doing is proving his point, hence you're taking the bait.
