Multiple guns stolen from Kris Kobach after truck was broken into in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Former Secretary of State Kris Kobach says his car was broken into and multiple guns were stolen.

Kobach says it happened while his truck was parked in a hotel parking garage in the 400 block of West Douglas on Friday evening in Wichita.

According to the police report, a rifle, two shotguns and a handgun were stolen.

Kobach released this statement to KSN News regarding the incident:

“The Wichita Police were very prompt and I appreciate their diligent efforts to find the perpetrator or perpetrators of this crime. Incidences like these remind us how crucial the police are.“

The investigation is ongoing and police ask that if you have any information to contact the police department or Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111.

2) Trump's medical past is a total mystery: As I've written recently, we know less about Trump's medical history than any previous modern-day president.
The extent of Trump's medical records prior to being elected in 2016 came in the form of a single letter from his personal physician in 2015 that read, in part: "If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency. ... His physical strength and stamina are extraordinary."

That doctor later said that Trump dictated the letter to him and that two Trump associates had seized the President's medical records from him in 2017 after he told The New York Times that Trump took medication to grow his hair.

So the full extent of what we know about the President's health before he took over the most powerful job in the world comes from a brief and braggadocious letter that the doctor who signed it says he didn't write. OK then.



3) Trump makes his opponents' health a major issue: On Monday morning, Trump sent a tweet attacking former Vice President Joe Biden, who is 77 years old, as "weak & shot." That's part of a deliberate strategy on behalf of the President who has repeatedly suggested that Biden is losing or has lost his mental capacity.
"WOW! Sleepy Joe doesn't know where he is, or what he's doing," Trump tweeted in March. "Honestly, I don't think he even knows what office he's running for!"
"Biden can't do it," Trump said in an interview last month. "He doesn't know he's alive."
And Trump did the exact same thing during the 2016 campaign against Hillary Clinton, particularly after she fell ill while attending a September 11 memorial service.
"She could be crazy," he said at a rally in October 2016. "She could actually be crazy."

Trump spent weeks promoting the drugs as a potential miracle treatment for COVID-19, despite scant evidence. The FDA then issued the emergency use authorization in March. Critics accused the agency of caving to pressure from the administration, which the FDA has denied.

In April, roughly a month after issuing the emergency authorization, the agency warned against using hydroxychloroquine outside of hospitals and clinical trials because of the risk of potentially fatal cardiac problems.

Last month, Trump said he had been taking hydroxychloroquine, in combination with zinc, as a way to prevent getting COVID-19 after a White House aide was diagnosed with the disease, which is caused by the novel coronavirus. He said he felt fine after finishing the regime, and even said he would take the drugs again if he was ever exposed to coronavirus.

“I think it gives you an additional level of safety,” Trump said at the time, downplaying the warnings that the drug can cause significant heart problems.

Looks like Gorsuch was the wolf in sheep's clothing for the GOP. One can see why the Dem's did not kick up too much fuss like they did with Kavanaugh.

Alito's written dissension was interesting.
He said "sex" must be defined the way lawmakers defined it back in 1964. Will he take the same reasoning about a certain second amendment?

Slightly opaque. They're not a civilian employer... but... they would still have to show there was no prejudice in barring a trans service member.
