I wonder if Republicans who've been blindly supporting Trump, will pay the price in November?

All of the House of Representative seats are being elected, and 35 of the Senate seats are being elected, too.
Yes, so republicans will be elected again ? Not sure what price you are saying. Is it price of air tickets ?

Dude they have already paid the price big time. Look into how many have
  • Lost seats in elections
  • Lost seats in primaries if they disagreed with trump
  • Have "retired"
  • Will "retire" in November
I don't know exactly but it is something like 40% turnover in Congressional seats for Republicans took office.
And now quite a few seats are in play for Democrats that were impossible in 2016.

Yes, surface, I'm talking about the price of air tickets. My question was whether Republicans are going to have to buy air tickets in November.

Pity that the Grade 10s aren't going back to school this week yet.

See, I understand now. Air tickets are bought by the respective party funding. They don't actually pay for it.

48 percent according to well-known US political nerd David Wasserman: . I'd say though I believe Republicans to actually pick up some seats in the House. There were some seats where Democrats won by an inch in well-established Republican seats and I think the higher turnout will benefit Republicans in those seats as the Dem vote is probably nearly maxed out in those type of seats.

(if you are on Twitter, I'd recommend giving him a follow. He really knows his stuff).

Let's review, shall we?

In 2018 the house was up for election as well thirty five senate seats - Democrats were defending 21 seats and Republicans only 10.

Generic polls had Dems up by 7,3 points.

Dems picked up a net 41 seats in the House and Republicans picked up 2 in the Senate.

The Senate is it's own discussion. No party had ever faced a map as unfavourable as the Dems did in 2018, but that 7,3 point lead turned out to be a tsunami.

Fast forward to 2020...

Polls have Dems up 10,5 points and this time around, Mitch is the one defending 21 seats while Dems are defending 12.

If Joe wins the presidential, three seats swing the Senate blue, four seats if he doesn't.

Doug Jones is an issue for Dems.

For Republicans, Martha McSally, Cory Gardner, Thom Tillis, Susan Collins, Steve Daines and Joni Ernst are in varying degrees of trouble... hell even Lindsey Graham and 'ol Mitch himself have seen polls where their seats are more competitive than they should be.

Dems look likely to gain House seats, and the Senate is truly in-play.

Case growth outpacing testing in coronavirus hotspots

The United States' alarming rise in coronavirus cases isn't due to increased testing — particularly not where cases have grown fastest over the last month.

Why it matters: The U.S. doesn't yet know what it looks like when a pandemic rages on relatively unchecked after the health system has become overwhelmed. It may be about to find out.

The big picture: The number of tests completed in the United States is going up, which is a good thing. But the number of new cases is increasing faster.

  • The situation varies state by state, but the gap between testing and cases is generally largest in the cases with the fastest-growing coronavirus outbreaks, like Florida and Texas.
  • But in some places, like the District of Columbia and New York, testing has grown faster than new cases — a good indicator that these outbreaks are under control.
My thought bubble: Even if testing did explain why America's official coronavirus caseload has doubled over the last month, that would be little cause for comfort; it'd only indicate that we have a worse problem than we'd thought.

  • But the reality is that states like Arizona, Florida and Texas are struggling to meet the demand for coronavirus tests, meaning the pandemic is already outpacing those states' ability to respond to it.

Those 28 states with more cases than testing... Yeah, every state other than NV, OR, CA and NM are Republican.

New Gallup and, well, yikes.

38% approval, and he's down... everywhere.

Indies down from 39% to 33%. Oof!

The White House is reportedly hoping Americans 'will grow numb' to the COVID-19 death toll

President Trump's advisers are looking to "reframe" his coronavirus pandemic response, and they want to "convince Americans that they can live with the virus," with White House officials hoping "Americans will grow numb to the escalating death toll and learn to accept tens of thousands of new cases a day," The Washington Post reports. One senior administration official said Americans will have to "live with the virus being a threat," while a former official told the Post, "They're of the belief that people will get over it or if we stop highlighting it, the base will move on and the public will learn to accept 50,000 to 100,000 new cases a day."

This is what a dose of anti-vax, Qanon, coronavirus is just the flu and believe anything that Trump says is true gets you.

Mom took her daughter to a coronavirus party at a church. Daughter got sick. Mom medicated her with hydroxychloroquine.

Her daughter died.

I’m not sure it’s entirely Trump’s fault. The amoeba in Florida also ate too much of her brain.
